Batona Trail #4 of 5- Carranza Memorial to Route 72 (12.8)

Meet on Route 72 – 0.6 miles south of junction with Route 563 – parking on the side of the road. Shuttle to Carranza Memorial parking lot to begin our hike.

This section is 12.3 miles – 12.8 including walking to parking.

A comfortable pace of about 3 mph with a stop for lunch. This section traverses Apple Pie Hill and by cranberry bogs in Franklin Parker Preserve – ending back on Route 72.

Must be OCSJ member & willing to shuttle. Masks at sign-in & SERIOUS social distancing required.

Expect 2 people per car shuttling, 3 max; masks on & windows open. Each person will have a shuttle partner. You will drive your partner from our meeting location to where we begin our hike & leave your car there. At the end of the hike – your partner will drive you back to your car at the starting point. Advise leaders if carpooling & number in your car.

Bring mask, pen to sign in, hand sanitizer, water, boots (water/mud expected), bug spray, & lunch.
